However, one of the theater movies (should be the hardest/last key) speaks to the dangers of trying to inject meaning where there is none (the devious poetry of the game strikes again). There's certainly enough content to fabricate (don't let that word imply that all fabrications are false) a number of stories or at minimum past events. Any game could be explained as a dream, so if this is the story, I stand by my claim that there's no story. I have heard there's a story concept about convicts, and it didn't play out that way. It's satisfying to see how the puzzles and the island and the philosophical ideas all interplay off each other. It's interesting to contemplate those perspectives, and I think that's the point. I don't agree with all the ideas, but I agree with many of them. The ideas that are satisfying the way a story can be. But that lets me focus more on the ideas. There is some developer meta in the game, that dispells the backstory concern of why your character is on the island to me. I have gotten through both achievements without any puzzle solving spoilers, so I've seen a wealth of the game. Now, being that this is a puzzle game, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there's a story and I'm not grasping the puzzle. I'm more than completely happy with my percieved absence. The stuff that seems like story, seems to me to be a collection of phioosophical ideas that strongly reinforce the puzzles, and puzzles that strongly reinforce those ideas. At least, I don't get any story out of it.
